The music industry can make you feel like an outsider —

A world that seems impossible to understand and even harder to break into.

Many talented artists are not held back by ability, but by not knowing how to turn their talent into success — or that success into a meaningful career.

Today’s artists need to be more hands-on than ever. Beyond creating great music, they must shape their sound, build a distinctive identity, develop compelling visuals, connect directly with audiences and make strategic decisions about every stage of their career. Yet these different areas are often divided between producers, designers, consultants, coaches and managers—leaving the artist responsible for somehow connecting it all into one clear and cohesive vision.

ResoNATION brings those elements together.

ResoNATION is an artist development and creative services company providing experienced guidance, strategic direction, innovation and hands-on creative support across every stage of an artist’s journey.

Whether you are an established professional, a semi-professional artist building momentum or an emerging artist finding your path, ResoNATION meets you where you are and helps you move forward.

Services include:

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT — mentoring, coaching, songwriting guidance, performance development and career strategy.

CONSULTING — practical, experienced guidance around releases, positioning, audience development, creative decisions and the wider music industry

PARENTS & YOUNG ARTISTS — expert guidance, personalised development planning and practical support to help young musicians take the right steps towards reaching their potential

MUSIC PRODUCTION— songwriting, arrangement, album production and creative development from the initial idea through to the finished recording.

ARTIST CREATIVE REVENUE STRATEGY — Maximize revenue by developing original income opportunities through direct-to-fan experiences, exclusive products, personalised offerings and new ways to monetise your creativity, and fund releases.

ALBUM & MERCH DESIGN — album artwork, single artwork, merchandise design and supporting visual assets for releases and campaigns.

BRANDING & CREATIVE DIRECTION — developing a clear artistic identity and cohesive creative vision that connects your music, visuals, message and overall presentation.

Rather than treating each part of an artist’s career as a separate service, ResoNATION looks at the complete picture. The music, visuals, performance, brand and strategy should all feel connected—and should all move the artist toward the same goal.

Whether you need guidance or services in one specific area or support across an entire project, ResoNATION can help shape the vision, develop the strategy and bring the work to life.

Helping artists succeed. Every step of the way.

Chris Brooks understands the challenges of building a music career because he has spent more than two decades doing exactly that.

After moving to the other side of the world where they knew no one, Chris and his brothers started at the absolute bottom—playing Tuesday-night shows in some of the roughest parts of town. From there, they built Like A Storm from the ground up, recorded their first album in Los Angeles and developed an international career spanning more than twenty years.

As the lead singer, songwriter and frontman of Like A Storm, Chris has:

• Earned more than 165 million streams
• Achieved seven Top 40 singles on the US Active Rock chart
• Performed in 23 countries
• Toured with Creed, Shinedown, Alter Bridge, Godsmack, Gojira, Staind, Sevendust, Slash, Three Days Grace and many more
• Collaborated with artists including Marty Friedman (solo artist and formerly of Megadeth) and Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens).

Throughout his career, Chris has worked across nearly every area of an artist’s journey—writing songs, producing records, developing live shows, directing artwork, designing merchandise, shaping branding and making the strategic decisions required to move a career forward.

He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Auckland, giving him an additional perspective on identity, culture, audiences and the ways artists connect with people.

Chris created ResoNATION to give artists access to that complete perspective. He works both strategically and creatively, helping artists develop stronger music, clearer identities, more compelling projects and a path forward that reflects who they are and where they want to go.

That experience also revealed that building a lasting career requires more than talent alone. Artists need to develop both the creative foundations that move them forward and the personal, financial and professional foundations that allow them to continue.

These lessons became the basis of ResoNATION’s two core frameworks: The Five Frequencies of Artist Evolution and The Five Frequencies of Artist Longevity.

Today’s artist needs more than great music alone. Building a meaningful career now requires a distinctive identity, a recognisable sound, a compelling live presence and a clear strategy for reaching the right audience.

Drawing on more than two decades of international music industry experience, Chris developed The Five Frequencies of Artist Evolution to bring these essential areas together into one practical roadmap—helping you identify what matters most, focus your development and unlock your full potential as an artist:

The Artist — identity, originality and what makes you stand apart.

The Music — songwriting, arrangement, production and developing a recognisable sound.

The Craft — musicianship, rehearsal, preparation and continual improvement.

The Show — live performance, stage presence and audience connection.

The Path — goals, releases, career strategy and audience growth.

A career in music can only last if the person behind it is able to keep going. Long-term success depends on protecting your wellbeing, strengthening your financial position, building meaningful audience relationships and surrounding yourself with the right support.

Drawing on more than two decades of international music industry experience, Chris developed The Five Frequencies of Artist Longevity to bring these essential areas together into one practical framework—helping you protect the person behind the music, strengthen your earning potential and build a career designed to last:

The Mind — mental health, emotional resilience, confidence and perspective.

The Body — physical wellbeing, energy, recovery, vocal health and hearing protection.

The Money — revenue strategy, diversified income and maximising the value you create.

The Circle — band relationships, communication, collaborators and support networks.

The Audience— fan relationships, community, direct connection and building long-term support.
